they chose the waters.. (2022-2023) explores Black temporal dimension, transporting truth(s)/myth(s) about the transatlantic slave trade, outside of a linear time continuum. the vibrant color palette and placement invites the viewer to experience this cosmically repugnant composition, in its conceptual, playful and grotesque nature, as a means to interrogate societal norms that are shaped by these transgressions.
